The Way of the Sword 剣道, KENDO: Shaping Future Leaders Through Movement and Connection

As a spiritual soul, I had the chance to connect with Tibetan culture at the age of 8 and this had a tremendous impact on my mental health. It not only changed my life it saved it! In parallel to my professional career, I spent two years studying Eastern Languages and Cultures specialised in Japan, the University of Ghent with a particular interest in anthropology, Arts history and martial arts. I’ve lived in Japan and visited there many times. Since leaving formal education, I continued my investigations into the body movement, studying the path of the sword for over 2 decades (kendo) and yoga. Of these my encounter with the language movement of gaga is essential. As a result, I developed strong intercultural relationships that enlarged my horizons and gave me new life perspectives.

My creativity, dyslexic thinking, multicultural background, powerful spirit and kendo experiences have boosted my approach to leading projects with different teams. Those rich interactions have fostered my ability to drive people to connect with their inner leadership and transform their strength into inspiring and beautiful new solutions. Those experiences are creating resourcefulness in my day-to-day creative life.

Mental coaching gives me a search to identify the short and long term needs, to help my clients to develop mental toughness, to improve performance, resilience and wellbeing.

Neuroscience combined with visual arts, yoga, gaga & kendo moves you through your deeper self and empathy. My aim is to guide YOU to become a grounded and connected leader!

Social change through mouvement

This reflects my work as a transformational leadership consultant and executive coach, where my greatest passion is empowering the next generation.

Our children are the leaders of tomorrow, and my mission is to help them uncover their strengths, embrace their talents, and confidently step into it.

I have mentored young minds with a passion for neurodivergent brilliant souls for over two decades, weaving leadership principles into movement, discipline, and self-expression. As a professional athlete, 6 dan in kendo, I created a somatic leadership project — a fusion of coaching and kendo, the way of the sword — to teach leadership through movement. Kendo is more than just a martial art; it’s a practice of resilience, focus, and connection, shaping individuals into strong, grounded, and heart-led leaders.

Beyond working with young leaders, I partner with organisations to build connected and grounded workplaces. I help teams cultivate trust, strength, and purpose, fostering workplaces where leaders lead with courage and heart.

Through storytelling, kendo, scribyng, dance, coaching, and guest lecturing, I inspire those I work with to lead with vulnerability and authenticity. I believe that when people move with intention — whether in leadership or life — they create ripples of change, shaping a better world for future generations.

This is my way of giving back — nurturing strong tribes, resilient leaders,
and thriving communities
. Every step, story, and movement contributes to something greater. And that’s what the world needs more than ever: activism with grace.
